The Cupcookie

Cupcookie Collage

I’m sure that this dessert is nothing new. But it’s new to me…lol. I needed to make a dessert to celebrate the hubby’s birthday. All I had was chocolate cake mix and the fixings to make chocolate chip cookies. So, the cupcookie was born.

You prepare your  cake according to the directions on the box. You prepare the cookies and place them in the freezer for about 10 minutes. Using a muffin pan ( I am in love with this pan!), you place a cookie on the bottom of the pan and pour your cake batter on top. That’s it.

Chocolate chip cookie recipe (from Parent’s magazine);

2/3 cup brown sugar

3/4 cup flour

1/2 tsp. baking powder

1/4 tsp. salt

1/2 cup softened butter

1 slightly beaten egg

1 Tbs. milk

1 tsp. vanilla

chocolate chips

Just mix them together.

Enjoy!
